Thank goodness that’s over

If anything, I guess we can call this year’s NBA season “The Year of Self Destruction.” First Dallas and now Detroit. Sad, sad, sad. Should we prepare for a Detroit tear down and rebuild starting this summer? Leave your thoughts in the comments.

Oh, and as an aside, let’s watch the next series to find out just how much in love with LeBron James the NBA hierarchy is. There is no way the Cavs can compete with San Antonio if the Finals are reffed fairly.

Just so you know, you won’t be seeing any razzing in the comments from certain visitors over the Pistons’ loss. Don’t forget: I control comment approval, so you’re better off just discussing the question at the top of this post.

Yeah, I’m a little grumpy.

I don’t think I did any razzing. I just speak my mind and the truth. To answer your question; YES. The Pistons as you know and love are OOOOVVVEERRR!!! I see Wallace gone, and chauncie looking for a trade. Rip., McDees, and Tashaun will be there to rebuild. I’m predicting that if flip stays they will make the palyoffs as an 7 or 8 seed. If he’s gone look no further than the regular season. The “swamee” has spoken. And yes I was wrong–the Cavs didn’t win in seven–maybe I’ll get it right next time…Spurz in 5…

Five games? I’m surprised that you picked the Spurs to win so handily. Good for you.

I am expecting a Rasheed trade and a coaching change. As far as whether Chauncey stays around, well, I think it will depend more upon whether HE wants to. Obviously, Chris Webber won’t be back.

Some people are talking about bringing Larry Brown back. I definitely don’t see THAT happening, especially when I feel that Joe Dumars is going to want to see a lot of minutes from some very inexperienced players. This development will be key to the Pistons’ future!

Anyone for Rick Carlisle?

Well the wheels are in motion. Rick Carlisle has been released from the Pacers. Could we see a dual return to the motor city? Carlisle and Hill back to make a run at the title; although I’m going out on a limb and making my Eastern conf. seiries picks…Bulls vs. Cavs…Better luck in ‘09 Pistons.

Yeah, I don’t know what to expect outside of a possible Rasheed trade. Apparently, Flip is safe (at least for next season), so we won’t be seeing Rick Carlisle anytime soon.

I DO like the idea of seeing Grant Hill return, IF he comes cheap.

Bulls Vs. Cavs? Eh, it’s a possibility. I actually like this Bulls team, but the Cavs…ugh. I’m sick of the LeBron hype. Whatever happened to “team” rather than “individual?”
