Harry Potter, Year 7

So I first want to thank Rob for letting me be a recluse for the past day so that I could read the final Harry Potter book - all 759 pages.

Although I now suffer from what I am calling “Harry Potter neck” (from reading for 8 1/2 hours on Saturday night without a break, and then from getting up on Sunday morning and reading for another 6 hours straight without stopping), I am glad that I read all 7 books!

This last book was wonderful, with a very good ending, although it was a fairly dark book (and I was really shocked at the language used from time to time). I’m going to have to say, after reading the last 3 books in the series, that I would not recommend this series for elementary age students. It is much more appropriate for pre-teens to adults.

Thank you, J.K. Rowling, for inspiring me to read for pleasure again!

And thank you, Sarah, for not giving away the ending. I still have 200 pages to go!

That’s awesome that you’ve read it already, kind of creepy, but awesome none the less! I think I have forgotten how to read it’s been that long since I have read a book for pleasure!
love you!

I just finished Order of the Phoenix (year 5) last night — it is a challenge to fit 800+ pages of fun reading into adult life! Thanks for keeping the conclusion of year 7 to yourself. I own them all but haven’t read them all. By this time next year, maybe I’ll have finished year 7, too, so we can discuss! I’m feeling a little down right now that a certain someone died at the end of year 5. Yes, I was crying at the end. It runs in the family, I think. Love ya!
