Chi-town wrap-up!

Well, the rain stopped long enough after a wet day of shopping for us to take the “L” up to visit my Uncle Mike and Aunt Chrissy. We had a great Thai dinner, and Mike drove us down to the beach to get a great view of the beach and Chicago skyline. What fun (we’ll overlook the fact that I accidentally jumped into a deep puddle, soaking my tennis shoes and my jeans up to my knees)! We hope to come back later this summer to hang out with them some more (hopefully, we can also hook up with my old buddy JMH!).

Tomorrow, we’ll finish off our trip by completing the loop of musems by checking out some “science and industry” (if you know what I mean) on the way home. Figures that tomorrow is going to be the warmest day of the week.

We’ll post some video of our trip when we get home. Later, y’all! Ooo…that didn’t sound very “big-city’ish.”

When I used to work in Farmington Hills, we would have these lunch meetings with our boss, who was super nice, in a conference room. But she loved Thai food. And she ordered hot thai food and THEN put hot sauce on it. The smell of the food would irritate my taste buds and make them burn, it was so hot and I’m so sensitive to spicy food. Anyway, hope your Thai was much better and sounds like you are enjoying the windy city! Did Ruby enjoy her first big trip outside of GR?

This was my first Thai experience, and it wasn’t as spicy as I thought it would be. Maybe I’m just THAT macho.

Ruby was a little too chicken to make the drive to Chicago (that wuss). She said she might feel a little bit more up to our trip out east. We’ll see.
