A hot dog on a homemade bun – YUMMY! Very, very bad, but oh so good!
Ooooh yeah! If you’ve never tried a “Boots dog,” you really need to get one (if you’re in Sand Lake during the Fourth of July, it’s the booth right on the corner of the laundromat next to the “main stage”). It’s like a thick sugarless elephant ear with a dog in between. Add some cheese and a side of homemade chips (add cheese to those, too!), and you’ve got yourself an awesome, greasy, heart-attack-inducing meal. Mmmmmm…
The Newely “Re-Openned” ice cream place in Cedar has hot dogs like your decribing (I think). They have a deep-fried hot dog…comes on a crispy fried bread thing…very good. But nothing beats an elephant ear, because you can’t get one unless your in “carny” country. You can get hotdogs any day of the week.
